TSI Plastics employees build non-metalic parts and assemblies for the Aerospace/Defense and industrial markets. They also provide services that support customers in critical ways such as spare parts/maintenance, Accordingly, quality can’t just be an occasional act; it has to be a habit. TSI Plastics leadership is committed to ensuring this is the case.
“Our Lean+ initiative provides us real opportunities to help our customers, reduce costs, improve productivity and free up money to invest in our future. “First-time quality—which is the ultimate in efficiency—is what we’re after”.
~ Pat McCready, TSI's President and CEO.
First-time quality makes winners
of us all. It makes our company and our supplier-partners more competitive,
because fundamentally it makes our customers more competitive.
Doing the job right the first time drives productivity and cuts cost,
saving TSI Plastics and our customers time and money.
TSI Plastics is proud to be chosen as part of the Boeing A-10 Wing replacement team. The Fuel Seals are a series of 18 injection molded parts that will be part of Boeings Center wing section production. This is a crucial re-wing program to the Government and to Boeing and TSI is honored to be a part of it. LRIP Production will start in January 2010 with FRIP to start late 2010 through 2018. TSI Plastics is ready and willing to produce parts for this program and have the capacity to produce parts at the rate requested.
When TSI Plastics started it’s lean journey we had no idea where it would take us. After our extensive training with SEA and learning that lean practices and developing standard work would help our process flow and bottom line. We decided that we would continue on our company transformation into a world class manufacturing company through lean processes.
Below are some of the achievements from our first Kaizen event.
